The M40 shut, diversions, phone calls, some using the A41, others using The
M25, M4 & A404 !!
Many thanks to Crendon and the Ref for holding up the match. The score
probably leads one to thinking it an easy game. Not so ! Crendon gave us a
good game, never gave up and persevered, scoring a really good goal in the
process.
It’s just I think the football we played was unbelievable ! Every
opportunity we were playing the ball out to Eve and Abi on the wings and
time and time again they were finding Aurela,Becky Millie or Angie. 10 goals
between them says they obviously found them. Special mention here must go to
Aurela – 5 goals ! Let’s hope she doesn’t find out a hat trick and you keep
the ball. Just as well she didn’t score 6 🙂
Not that we had it all our own way. When Crendon did have an attack on it
was soon snuffed out by Issy who was well assisted by Farren and Lili who,
when they were not in goal, took turns at left back. Yet again another
master class from Angie creating chance after chance for Abi and Becky who
were desperately unlucky not to add to the total. Angie deservedly got GOM
from Crendon. Our GOM went to Evie who was just immense as Evie always does
the unsung stuff. While everyone is up there going for glory, Evie was there
clearing up, shutting people down, breaking things up. Although it hurts me
to say so, being a QPR supporter, John Terry would have been proud of that
performance !
