Harefield 14s 0 – 3 Ruislip Rangers U14W

Preston Park, Sunday 5 February 2016, 12:30 KO. Memorial Cup

After a lacklustre start, Rangers improved as the game went on to make it through to the semi-final of the Memorial Cup.

Harefield were on top in the early stages of the game with Rangers struggling to get anything going. Niall came on midway through the half and brought energy into the game. Kamaal was brought down by the keeper when he was in a one-on-one situation but unfortunately Flynn hit the penalty just wide. The teams went in all-square at the half.

Rangers started the second half really well. The deadlock was broken when Harry lifted the ball over the keeper following a beautiful through ball by Flynn. Tom Quinn made it 2-0 with 12 minutes to go with a crisply hit shot into the corner. The third came when Aaron hit a lovely left foot shot that the keeper got his hands to but couldn’t keep out.

The final scoreline made the win look more comfortable than it really was.
