Pinner Albion 3 – 1 Under 12B

Sunday 8 February 2015, 10:30am. Headstone Manor Recreation Ground.

The game did not start well for Rangers. Within the first 8 minutes they were 2-0 down. Rangers played with four at the back for the first time and, because of absences, some boys were playing out-of-position. But Rangers defended well and deservedly got a goal back towards the end of the second half when the Albion goalkeeper couldn’t hold on to Josh Moran’s powerful long distance shot. Minutes afterwards Pinner scored a fortunate third when a cross from the left found its way into the net.

Rangers were solid throughout the whole of the goalless second half. They found it difficult going forward but there were some immense performances in defence and midfield. Rangers haven’t been at full strength on any occasion that they have played Pinner this year and they return to Headstone Manor in a couple of weeks for a League Cup match.
