Ruislip Rangers U14 Girls vs Chalfont

The first league game of the season against Chalfont saw a great start following some frustrating friendlies.

The 1st half saw Amy O’Connor opened the scoring early after some great team passing and then was on the score sheet again from a penalty kick. Sophie Townsend was unlucky not to score when her shot hit the crossbar.

The second half saw the continuation of a great team performance with Lauren Bishop scoring early with a great shot from just within the penalty area, and Sophie Townsend showing good attacking positioning to slot the ball into the net four times following great team passing.
Hayley Whipp & Elia Ferrara always worked hard in midfield, while Caitlin Harbrow, Annabel Lamb and Megan Hamilton were solid in defence and Niamh O’Grady made a great 2nd half save to keep a clean sheet.

This first league game of the season proved that the girls can stay calm under pressure, not panic and pass the ball around with confidence.
