Report by the Organizer, John Gowen
The event was a great success. Over £2,000 was raised and the total is still growing which is fantastic.
- Congratulations goes to Spencer Kavanagh’s Manor Boys who won the cup. Spencer coaches our U6s and his Manor boys play out of Kings College on Saturday afternoons.
- AI All-Stars won the plate. AI Construction had sponsored the tournament and were coached by Liam McKane our U16B team Manager.
Thank you to all the following people:
- All 20 teams who took part and thanks to all the teams that weren’t able to field a team but helped in other ways.
- A big thank you to all who donated some fantastic raffle prizes and food.
- Tony Doherty & Dave Holden for organising all the fixtures and collating all the results.
- Our 4 referees Dave Cresswell, John Gannon, Austin Schofield and Tyler who had the hardest jobs of all.
- Also our pitch marshals Mark Holinrake and Michael Gowen.
- Our photographer Alan Rhodes.
- Our Tournmamet sponsorer Liam McKane.
- To Kerry Byrne, Denise Kiely and Sioban Cresswell for the raffle works.

She won’t want me to say this but my biggest thanks goes to Marian Gowen who spent days organising prizes, food and helped sell over £500 worth of raffle tickets.
Please keep Jacob in your thoughts and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
