On a very hot day The U10s were glad to be able to set up camp in the shade of some handily placed trees.

The girls needed little warming up and raced through the group stage winning 5-0 (Krystal 2, Yanla 2, Jayme), 4-0 (Krystal 4) & 3-0 (Roop 2, Natasha). However the semi final versus Garston was a much tougher proposition. On the back foot throughout, the girls battled hard to restrict Garston to only a few opportunities. It went straight to penalties at the end of normal time and Chloe really came into her own saving both Garston’s first two penalties and intimidating the third taker to blast hers over the bar. Krystal, Yanla and Kirsty all made no mistake and we were through to the final.

Facing another Garston side we were again on the back foot but couldn’t hold out this time and slipped to a 0-4 defeat. However it was a creditable performance with several regulars absent. Congratulations to Krystal who top scored once again on her last appearance for the club before leaving to join Middlesex Centre of Excellence. Good luck Krystal. You are one of the best we’ve ever had !!
