Saying goodbye and thank you to Nathan Hayes

One of our Disability Section players, Nathan Hayes, played his last game for the club today at the Middlesex County Cup competition at Ruislip Goals. Nathan was one of the 7 original players when we started our Disability Section in 2016.

That first team finished second in the League and as runners-up in the County Cup but went on to win both competitions in 2019. And in 6 years, our Disability Section has grown from 7 players to 42.

Nathan has predominantly played a striker and thinks he has scored over 70 goals for the club over the years but considers that the one he got today in the County Cup competition against St Albans was his best. In Nathan’s own words: “It was a real team goal which is why I enjoyed it so much”

Nathan is a QPR season ticket holder and absolutely loves football, so being part of Ruislip Rangers has meant a lot to him: “I want to thank Ruislip Rangers and the coaches for everything they have done for me.” As to his favourite memory: “Just being with you guys.”

Nathan is leaving to join a club that his brother is starting called Southall Athletic. We wish him all the best. He will be very much missed by everyone at the club and he will be given an official send-off at Presentation Day on Sunday 26 June.
