Rangers continued their recent run of good results with an away win, but it ought to have been a more comfortable morning’s football than it was. Rangers were three-nil up at half-time but Beaconsfield fought back and in the end the team were grateful for the final whistle.
Rangers took the lead in the 11th minute when Flynn struck with a well-taken free kick. He got his second with a spectacular volley from a lobbed cross from the left by Jerome. Jerome came close to scoring himself when his header hit the bar. The third came in the 25th minute when Mark crisply hit a low shot into the far corner when put through.
Beaconsfield fought back though and had clawed two goals back by half way through the second half. Rangers had chances to make it comfortable but lacked a bit of composure in front of goal. They got the win, though, and that should give them confidence going into next week’s home game against the same opposition.
