Safeguarding

Safeguarding

Greg Clarke, the Chairman of The FA has this week written a letter to all Club Secretaries.

He has asked us to ensure that we ensure that safeguarding continues to be a priority. We all want to make sure that the game we all love can be played in a safe, fun environment.

He has asked that we do two things:

  • To ensure that you all know of the support that is available via a specific helpline that The FA have commissioned the NSPCC to provide to help encourage more people to come forward. The number is 0800 023 2642
  • To ensure that we as a club are extra vigilant with regards to safeguarding and our procedures. Nothing is more important than the welfare of the children who play for our club. We have an excellent Child Welfare Officer, Sean Brosnan, who you can contact if you have any queries or concerns. His contact details are here: http://ruisliprangersyfc.org.uk/contacts/

Steve Roche, Club Secretary.
