Our Partner Club, Harrow Borough FC, is looking for a volunteer match commentator for their home matches.
The match commentator role will involve:
- Pre-match research: Diligently finding out what you can about both Harrow Borough FC and their opponents, focusing on player names, recent form, interesting storylines, and past results. Utilise the club’s website, social media, and local news outlets.
- Commentary: Accurately capturing the the action and the flow of the game, giving updates on injuries and substitutions, and highlighting key moments.
- Pre-match and post-match interviews: Coordinating with the club to conduct insightful interviews with the manager or key players.
The matches will be broadcast via social media platforms and the Harrow Borough FC website using a mobile app called Mixlr. All you will need in the way of equipment is your mobile phone and you will commentate via the Mixlr app.
Who knows where this opportunity could lead – recently, the volunteer cameraman at Harrow Borough FC was recruited by Sky and now does EFL matches.
