King George’s Field, Sunday 8 January 2017, 10:30 KO
This was one of the best performances and victories for Rangers for quite some time against a team that they had played four times previously and lost to each time.
Hughenden had Rangers pinned back in their own half for most of the first 15 minutes and took the early lead. Rangers were defending well in that period though and equalised in the 21st minute via a superb free kick from outside the area by Flynn. Rangers continued to play well up until the half.
The message at half-time was to carry on playing as they were but Rangers went beyond that and dominated the second half. Kamaal made it 2-1 early into the second period and Flynn made it 3-1 soon after when he slotted home from a cross from the right. Mark scored from a free kick to make the game safe and Kamaal scored a superb fifth when he beat half the Hughenden team before slotting home. This was a truly excellent performance and continues the current good run of form.
