Ruislip Rangers U14A 2 – 1 AFC Wembley A

Premier Division

Neither Rangers or Wembley could believe they faced each other in the first and only game in the league.

This fixture is always a great tie and this game lived up to the billing.

Wembley took the lead with a rasping drive from outside of the box, Jordon could do nothing about it.

Rangers were in the game and had 2 shots cleared off the line but didn’t didn’t really wake up until half time.
HT 0-1

The second half started after Matt & Christian had read the riot act.

The boys responded like men and  begun to win all their individual battles.

Rangers won a free kick about 40 yards out. Up stepped Ethan Stacey who buried a screamer in the keepers top right hand corner.
1-1.

Both sides went at each other but Rangers looked the more likely team to score. Wembley’s keeper pulled off 2 fantastic saves but 60 minutes in Kyran Worrell was fouled and the Referee awarded a penalty.

Ethan Stacey stepped up and coolly slotted it home.
2-1.

Luke Robinson was unlucky to have a goal chalked off for off side but Wembley’s linesman was excellent all game.

A great game finished and both teams could be very proud.

Paul, John & Dave were delighted that all the preseason training had worked.
