On a lovely sunny autumnal day, Rangers fought back well in the second half in a lively match against a newly-promoted side to earn a draw.
The boys started the game well. In the first few minutes there looked like there would only be one winner of the game. They passed the ball around really well and it seemed it would only be a matter of time before they’d scored. But Wembley picked up their game and began to look good. With a few exceptions, Rangers were slow and sluggish and that was exemplified by Wembley’s first goal. They took a quick free kick and caught Rangers sleeping.
Wembley started the second half strongly as well. They won the 50/50 balls more than Rangers did and scored their second with 20 minutes to go. Daniel Stevens came on and played outstandingly well at right back. Also Conor Forkin made a couple of great saves to keep the game within reach. Rangers came back to life and got back in the game with 10 minutes to go when the man-of-the-match, Kamaal, scored a well-deserved goal. Niall came on as a sub at right midfield and had an immediate impact. He started a move on the right, Kamaal had the assist and Josh tucked the ball away.
Rangers could easily have gone on to win the game in the final few minutes. But in the end a draw was probably a fair result.
