First League match of the season and in the new format of 9 a side with the
offside rule thrown in for good measure We have had a couple of friendlies
which went well and we feel the way we like to play and with the type of
players we have in the squad this format should suit us As the score
suggests looks like for a change we might have been right So with all this
in mind Chalfont turned up with 8 players Great plans and all that Re
organised right winger to right back sorry Eve From the start we dominated
with some early chances being missed but it wasn’t long before Mille burst
through from midfield to blast past the keeper Second goal was speculative
long range effort from Evie which sounds a bit better than Evie’s
description of “it was really lucky, I didn’t mean it.”
Third was from a great pass from Eve to Becky who went on mazy run beating
three players and hammering the ball home Next was Aurela’s turn this is the
best game I think she has had for us her all round play awareness if
teammates around was exceptional today Here is were I take full
responsibility for not such a good second half and not keeping a clean sheet
but trying to give everyone a fair amount of time on the pitch the
organisation and balance went a little It wasn’t all bad we still dominated
with Eve Becky Abi Reanna and Paige All going close to scoring before Eve
after her first shot hit the post following up the re bound to score our
fifth and final goal Also another positive to come from the performance when
our fullbacks attacked with the ball there was always some one to cover
their position.Three Girls not mentioned our goalies Lili and Farren not
too much to do today girls but when called upon they did what was needed and
last player to be mentioned is Issy and the last word outstanding.
