Under 12B 0 – 2 TFA Totteridge

Sunday 21 September 2014

Rangers can count themselves unlucky to have not got at least a draw against a strong and almost completely rebuilt TFA team.

The early few minutes were even but the game changed when TFA were awarded a penalty when both sets of players were trying to get to the ball on the edge of the 6-yard box. Making his league debut in goal, Kai got his fingertips to the ball but couldn’t keep the ball out. TFA got a second goal with 5 minutes to go in the half.

Rangers came out a different team in the second half. They piled on the pressure from the first minute to the last of the half. They won the kind of tackles they weren’t winning in the first half and created chance after chance. They just couldn’t score, though. The ball either didn’t bounce kindly or the player who had the chance lacked composure.

You couldn’t help feeling that, had Rangers got one goal, they would have gone onto win the match. But it just wasn’t to be.
