Under 13 Girls Clarets 10 – 0 Chesham United

Eve 3
Evie 3
Angie  2
Aurela. 2
GOM.  Angie
GOM.  Evie Mac

Cagey old start with both defences cutting most chances out that was until Evie Mac picked the ball from a clearance and from outside the penalty area unleashed a great strike top right hand corner settled every thing down and we were off and running second goal was a lovely run and a great cross from Becky to Aurela nice clinical finish 2 v 0
We were still not having it all our own way when from a Chesham corner Angie picked the ball on the edge of our penalty area watched by our under 16 boys weaved her way up field and smashed the ball past the keeper

Can’t exactly put down what they said but I think they were impressed.

Then another mazy run from Angie 4 v 0

Chesham then tightened up the marking on Angie and Becky’s side thus creating more room for Millie and Abi who both went close on several occasions with a lovely volley from Abi how it never went in i will never know .A mention for Farren who had her first start on pitch and as the half progressed she got more and more confident

The second half was a lot more even with Chesham forcing a couple of good clearances and a couple of good saves from Lili for the remainder of the second half Farren went in goal
It was towards the last 15 minutes when Chesham tired and with Eve being a constant thorn in their side with her strength and speed and her will to chase every opportunity down got her a well earned hat trick Evie Mac also getting a hat trick one of the goals being from a lovely run by Issy who skipped a couple of tackles one two with Evie back to Evie who smashed it into top corner some where in that a typical poachers goal from Aurela

I think what we do really well is Millie and Angie winning the ball in the centre of the pitch beating their opponent and finding our respective wingers Abi and Bex who always attack and take on the defenders thus pulling defenders out of position

Full credit to Chesham who never gave up and never let their heads drop with a special mention for Chesham’s Centre forward who never stop working and taking our defenders on and their keeper who our girls voted GOM this was definitely not a sympathy vote she made a lot of really good saves and thoroughly deserved the award
